Our Story

WoofSentials is a small, family-run business built on a big love for dogs. For over 15 years, our family—just a mom, a daughter, and two rescued pups—has shared a life full of care, joy, and unconditional love. Inspired by our journey with our dogs, Ernie and Stephan, we created WoofSentials: a trusted online store offering natural dog food and thoughtfully chosen supplies.

Yelena, the mom of the household, has always had pets, but it was Ernie and Stephan who truly inspired the vision for a shop dedicated to dogs. Anna, her daughter, grew up with the pups by her side—especially Stephan, who instantly took on the role of protective big brother the moment she was born. From guarding her crib to standing watch as she slept, his loyalty helped shape her lifelong bond with dogs.

Everything we carry is something we’d give our own pups—because in our home, pets are family. And we believe yours are too.

Ah. Hello. I’m Stephan, born on February 14, 2010—yes, Valentine’s Day. Naturally, I’m the romantic one. At 15 years old (human years, of course), I’m the eldest of our home’s sibling trio: myself, one younger, overly enthusiastic dog, and one human girl—also younger, but generally agreeable.

I come from Tennessee, but I don’t remember much of it. What I do remember is being adopted at five months old from the ASPCA. I’m told it was a difficult decision—but I made it easy. My snow-white coat, gentle presence, and distinguished ears (one up, one down) did all the talking. I was chosen. Naturally.

My refined standards set the bar for everything at WoofSentials. I don’t like vegetables, unless they are topped with melted Kerrygold salted cultured Irish butter. I no longer concern myself with kibble or common snacks. My meals are prepared with care—human-grade dishes, made just for me. Think thinly sliced chicken tenders with a touch of freshly squeezed lemon and herbes de Provence. A bit of linguine, maybe. Rigatoni? Never. On rare occasions, a sliver of sweet potato—if I’m feeling generous. Anything less is met with a polite sniff and a firm, silent refusal. It’s called self-respect.

Of course, they grumble sometimes: “Stephan won’t eat this,” or “If only Stephan ate like Ernie.” But they always come around. They love me—not in spite of my discerning taste, but because of it. I bring refinement to their lives. In return, I loyally follow my mom everywhere, graciously accept Anna’s tackle-hugs (she can’t help it, I’m adorable), and, on a good day, run spirited zoomies down the hallway. They’re right—I do enjoy it.

Hi! I’m Ernie — but you can call me Oink Oink, or Baby Seal, since I’m kind of a hybrid of a cute baby seal and piglet. I was born on June 3, 2011, which makes me 14 in human years this year, 2025  (that’s legendary in dog years). I’m the middle child among my siblings: one older dog brother (Stephan), one human sister (Anna), and me — the cute, treat-loving one.

I joined the family in the snowy January of 2011, when my mom found me tied to a tree in Central Park. Cold, scared, but still cute, I was rescued and brought home where I became part of the pack for good. There was talk about whether I was actually going to be a part of the pack, but clearly they didn’t have much thinking to do (I’m very charming).

Now? I live for snacks. Chicken, hamburgers, bananas, broccoli — you name it. If Anna drops it, I eat it. One second it’s on the floor, the next? Gone. I’m also known for my waddle dance (I toddle on my front paws from side to side like I’m marching in place — very chic).

I’ve tried lots of foods and products over the years and trust me: I know what’s good. I’m basically a fluffy food critic with paws. Not picky, just… experienced.

So yeah, I’m Ernie. Lifelong foodie, dance-floor champion, and proud pup of the family.
